Description

This course is designed for participants wishing to attain a qualification enabling them to administer inhaled analgesia to casualties within their prescribed workplace.

 

Course Content

Subjects covered in the course includes:

  • Secondary Assessment
  • Collecting an AMPLE history
  • Pain Assessment (DOLOR)
  • Information On Entonox
  • Analgesic Gas Equipment
  • Administration of Entonox
  • Legislation In Using Analgesic Gas

 

Prerequisites

Due to the content of this course, there is a requirement to have a current Apply First Aid - HLTFA301B Certificate to undertake this course.

 

Course duration

Minimum of 3 hours.

 

Assessment method

Demonstration of practical skills and a written paper

 

Course award

Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment certificate and is valid for 1 year only.



Lecturer

Lecturing is conducted by Anthony Hann who is a full-time Mobile Intensive Care Officer with Ambulance Victoria.

Cost of the course is $150 (+ GST) per person.
